ExecuJet around the Globe - New offices announced in Moscow, Mumbai and Beijing
Asian Expansion
In the first of a number of messages concerning expansion across
the Asian Continent, ExecuJet announced their exciting entry into
India. As the first step, they have opened a representative office
in Mumbai, adjacent to the international airport. Activity from
this office will initially centre around the introduction of their
SimplyFly jet ownership solution, and sales of their full range of
business aircraft, including the Bombardier product range and the
Grob spn light jet
"We clearly recognize the growing requirements from business jet
owners in India for professional business jet services" says Gerrit
Basson, ExecuJet will expand its initial sales office to establish
a local aircraft management division, a charter office and a full
maintenance facility from where we can best support the increased
business jet fleet in India.
In a related announcement about expansion across Asia, ExecuJet
also confirmed they will this week open a sales office in Beijing.
They expect that their full range of business jet solutions backed
by their support offerings will be ideal for Chinese owners who
want to easily get into jet ownership.
ExecuJet's move into Beijing and Mumbai mirrors the heightened
expansion in business aviation in Asia and we are delighted to have
ratified agreements so swiftly to be able to announce our plans so
soon after declaring our interest in the region," said Gerrit
Basson. "There are 300 business jets operating in Asia Pacific so
far and the majority are privately owned so there is plenty of
opportunity for an experienced organisation like ExecuJet to
further bolster the number of jets flying in the region, as well as
offering unrivalled ground support experience" he said. With the
region expected to account for 15% of global deliveries over the
next five years, compared with 4% in 2007 (according to Honeywell
Aerospace's latest report). "China especially is just starting to
expand with wide bodied, long haul business jets so ExecuJet's move
into Beijing is especially well timed," he added.
ExecuJet's Asian expansion complements its opening of hangar
facilities and local maintenance support capability at Singapore
Seletar Airport in February this year.
European Expansion
On March 18th ExecuJet Aviation Group announced that it
is establishing a new base in the UK - an operations centre and
executive lounge at London City Airport and a UK headquarters at
Canada Square, Canary Wharf, in the heart of London's financial
district. The move coincided with the addition of a UK Air
Operator's Certificate, which was ratified by the UK Civil Aviation
Authority in February this year.
Further European expansion has been seen with the opening of a
representative office in Moscow, Russia. Two sales representatives
have been appointed in downtown Moscow to head up ExecuJet's new
office to support a booming market where three to four business
jets are being delivered each month. Moscow activity will centre
around sales of the spn light jet and the Aerion Supersonic
Business Jet where the company has received strong interest since
highlighting the program late last year.
ExecuJet Europe Managing Director Peter Hartmann, who is leading
ExecuJet's European expansion said the opening of an office in
Moscow "underlines our dedication to an already long lasting and
strong relationship with Russia's business aviation world - a
rapidly growing market which we feel deserves a permanent
presence."
